We recently stayed at the B Resort and Spa near Downtown Disney. The location cannot be beat. It is walking distance to Downtown Disney, if you can handle a half mile. If you have tromped around the parks all day, you may have a different opinion. You are also close to the Crossroads shopping area, if you are in need of McDonald's or Olive Garden type restaurants. The hotel is bright and shiny due to its recent remodel. I overheard someone say that the lobby had a Miami vibe to it. I will say that although we were quite comfortable and happy with the B Resort, I can see it being a great place for couples or the young and single. We had a fireworks view, but we did have difficulty with our 4 year old not being awake to enjoy that view. Those long Disney days will exhaust you. Our Proper Southern Baby Girl was completely in love with the stuffed frog in the room. They sell the frogs in the shops, but we managed to only come home with Chip and Dale. We found the staff to be kind and helpful. Our only purchase at the hotel was a mocha latte, which was acceptable. Everyone has their own standards on coffee, but I would definitely buy it again under the same circumstances. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time at the B Resort and we would definitely stay there again. I do a lot of shopping around on our Disney trips, so I would make sure it was the best price and the best location for your trip. It makes for a great option. I also want to plug the Chip and Dale campfire at Ft. Wilderness. This has become one of our favorite activities with our little one. It is a great way to have a character experience at little to no cost.
