I have a couple of thoughts about fall activities, but I would welcome suggestions. I think that I will try frying apple pies this weekend. I do fear that I will stink up the house when (not if) I burn them. If you are like me, the last fried apple pie you had was at some fall festival. It was probably made at 3:30am by some lady cooking it for the girl scouts booth or something of the sort. It was wrapped in Saran Wrap and was a little soggy. Not that it wasn't good, but it wasn't a fresh fried apple pie. We had hoped to attend the apple festival in Ellijay, GA this October, but we have has other things interfere. Looks like it might be next year for the apple festival. I am also planning on learning to make a campfire. Anyone who was a camp counselor with me will testify that I did not have a lot of success with that, unless I found some lighter fluid. I really don't think I should have been teaching kids about the outdoors. That probably explains why I got "promoted" to arts and crafts.
